Day 4 - Saturday, June 17th
This was a travel day. We met at 6:30am to head to the airport and fly to Nice, France. From there, we took a bus to Hotel Amarante. Then, we had free time to walk around, get food, and settle in. A group of us went to get food right away. We ate at rOsana and then went shopping. We went into some chain stores, as well as some local boutiques. Before we headed back to the hotel, we stopped for an afternoon snack. We got gelato at Glacier Vilfeu. For dinner, a group of us went to Ciro and shared a bunch of pizzas. This was one of my favorite meals.
Day 5 - Sunday, June 18th
We started our morning with a walking tour of Cannes from our CIEE guide, Una. One of the places we stopped was Marché Forville. We had time to browse and get food, so I got a fruit juice and a cookie. When we finished the walking tour, we stopped by the registration tent and picked up our badges for the festival. Then, we took our test for the class. We had the rest of the afternoon off. We got lunch at Ristorante Angolo Italiano. This was also a favorite meal of mine. A few of us went shopping again. While I was looking for my friends leaving Zara, I saw Emma Chamberlain. We talked to her and took pictures with her. Later, we had our first group dinner at La Maison by Tripodi. I had truffle risotto, and we shared a meat and cheese plate.
